Drake wins $1million bet on Kansas City Chiefs in NFL Conference Championship

Canadian rapper, singer, and actor, Drake cashed in a $2 million payout from a $1 million winning bet that he placed on the Kansas City Chiefs’ victory versus the Cincinnati Bengals in Sunday’s AFC Championship.

Notorious messenger:

One of the world’s best-selling music artists with 170 million records sold has won multiple musical and achievement awards in his fruitful career, but the latest bet, although a droplet in the sea, represented a heart-attacking experience to Drake after a series of lost bets in soccer, boxing, and MMA. Drake, who also has a stake in AC Milan soccer club, supported Liverpool, Anthony Joshua, and Conor Mc Gregor in recent years to become a sort of notorious messenger to these sports teams and individuals since he lost bets on each of these three world-class sports events.

Losing streak:

Last month, Drake proceeded with his losing streak with a $1 million bet placed on Argentina to beat France in regular time in the World Cup final. The dramatic final ended with Argentina’s victory but only after the penalty shot series, to the great disappointment of the rapper as the winning bet would have awarded $2.75 million. Drake also failed with a $ 2 million bet placed on Israel Adesanya to win UFC 281 over Alex Pereira. Unfortunately for the rapper, Pereira knocked out the opponent and took the UFC champion belt in the middleweight bout to also take the rapper’s bet away.

U-turn:

The artist and the entrepreneur, as well as the ambassador of the Toronto community, recently also lost significant sums by wagering Spanish and English soccer when Barcelona lost to Real Madrid and Liverpool to Leeds. However, the losing streak that started in October and cost the rapper financially and emotionally has now been terminated. Drake’s luck improved on Sunday when Kansas City‘s Harrison Butker won the game on a 45-yard field goal with only seconds remaining. The 23-20 final sends the Chiefs back to the Super Bowl for the third time in four seasons.

Super Bowl kick-off:

As we are sure that Drake will do his best to benefit from the lucky turn, here are some tips that may help the rapper and other bettors decide their Super Bowl preferences. The Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs are officially headed to Super Bowl LVII, which kicks off Sunday, Feb. 12, at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. While the Chiefs are returning to the Super Bowl after a one-year absence, the Eagles are playing in their first since beating the Patriots in 2017.

All eyes on Mahomes:

The Chiefs have Mahomes at quarterback, they led the regular league in scoring and yards per play, therefore they are confident they can prevail over any defensive opponent. On the other side, the Eagles have the best roster top to bottom in the NFL, led by Hurts, a top-end offensive line, and a ”player-proof” defense to be a slight favorite ahead of the game. All Chiefs’ eyes are therefore on the magical Mahomes, and anything can happen. But one thing is for sure – Super Bowl LVII will be a heart-attacking experience not only for Drake but for millions of fans and punters across the country.
